"Hanging out at Hanging Rock Plantation" - Millen, Georgia

I knew an hour before the sun was going to set that it was going to be a good one. So while we all sat down to eat dinner, I couldn't stop checking my watch to make sure I had enough time to run out to a particular spot.

With just a couple of minutes to spare, I ran to the location I had planned to shoot from and got an incredible sunset shot. But this isn't that picture. This is another awesome picture I took of this sunset from the other side of this pond.

That's right, I got two great sunset shots from both sides of this pond. It's not very often that the clouds are photo-worthy in both the eastern and western skies. (I'll post my other photo in just a bit.)

The Motion Of The Ocean.

Yes I am standing crotch deep in turbulent (and very cold) salt water for this shot. I am ready to yank up my +Really Right Stuff tripod at a moments notice, and I am not alone as shots like this can get a bit dangerous. It just takes a small amount of water to knock someone off balance... so please be careful when attempting shots of this nature.

One of the coolest rock formations in the Izu coastline. Just to give some scale to this image, I think a bus might be able to fit through that hole.

On Sunday, it was 8 degrees (Fahrenheit) when I decided a stroll through Denver's Botanical Gardens would be a great idea. There were at least 3 other people as crazy as I walking through as well. Despite gloves, my fingers were so cold! I'd wander around, looking for shots, and I'd have to decide if it was really worthwhile to pull my hands out of the coat pockets to take the picture! Excellent way to reinforce using composition skills, no? lol

This is actually the true colors of the water and ice. No B&W conversion this time.
